Dave Mason - November 17th & 18th- Tuesday, November 17 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 18 7:00 p.m.

When Dave Mason penned the rock anthem "Feelin' Alright" at the age of 19, he couldn't have imagined the impact the song would have on generations of rock ‘n rollers and their fans. The tune has been recorded by no less than four dozen artists, including Joe Cocker's blistering rendition.

Mason, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, has had a lengthy and legendary music career. The Worcester, England native began as a road manager for the Spencer Davis Group, then met and teamed up with Steve Winwood to form the rock/pop/jazz fusion band Traffic. After splitting from Traffic just two albums later, Mason went solo, writing and recording his own music and scoring a top-ten hit in 1977 with Jim Krueger's "We Just Disagree."

Along with maintaining a packed tour schedule, Mason has performed on a number of albums with such artists as George Harrison, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton. His guitar solo on "All Along the Watchtower," featured on Jimmy Hendrix's "Electric Ladyland" album, remains a rock classic. After a six-year recording hiatus, Mason released his latest solo album, "26 Letters - 12 Notes" in October 2008.

Mason always plays to a packed house at the Lyric, so this season we've added a second performance. Now there's no excuse to miss this sure-to-sell-out show!
