Summer Camp Performances Held at the Manatee Players 6/24-25

Summertime and the livin' is easy! Manatee Players is all abuzz with our talented young people participating in our summer camps. The Junior Camp will give our younger performers the opportunity to star in featured roles of the musical "Free to be...You and Me". This musical is the creation of Marlo Thomas, Judy Blume and Shel Silverstein, to name a few. Public performances are scheduled for Friday June 24th and 25th at 7 p.m. and June 26th at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $9 for ages 12 and under.

Broadway Bootcamp is custom tailored to the older kids. This summer camp will be an intensive training in acting, technical theatre and performance preparation culminating in a stage production by the boot campers of ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, the Caribbean adaptation of 'The Little Mermaid' by the creators of RAGTIME. Public performances are scheduled for July 29th at 7 p.m., July 30th at 2 & 7 p.m. and July 31st at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults and $11 for ages 12 and under.

All performances are held at the Manatee Players, 102 Old Main Street in downtown Bradenton. Tickets for both shows are now on sale and can be purchased by calling the Manatee Players' box office at 941-748-5875 or online at www.manateeplayers.com.
