Project Copernicus and Ground Up & Rising today announced their upcoming performances of "Story of a Soldier," a concert experience melding visionary classical music and theatre. Project Copernicus' musical performances will be complemented by  theatrical interpretations from Ground Up & Rising. "Story of a Soldier" will be performed at 8 PM on Saturday, March 8th in Miami Beach and at 4 PM on Sunday, March 9th in West Palm Beach. Tickets are $20, and $15 for seniors and students. For tickets, please go to www.theatermania.com/Florida or call 866-811-4111.

Two formidable creative forces – Project Copernicus, and Ground Up & Rising will come together to present a marriage of classical music and theatrical performances.

"We are honored to collaborate with Project Copernicus on this truly innovative endeavor," says Arturo Fernandez, Producing Artistic Director for Ground Up & Rising. "Together, we hope to present South Florida with unforgettable performances that will push the boundaries of theatre and music, while blurring the lines between the two."

A performance in two acts, "Story of a Soldier" begins with the world premiere of Project Copernicus' Steve Danyew's original composition, "Letters from Iraq." Steve Danyew's poignant "Letters from Iraq" incorporates music and performances drawn from four actual letters home written by fallen soldiers of the Iraq conflict. The performance continues with Igor Stravinsky's masterpiece, "A Soldier's Tale." Stravinsky's work presents the surreal tale of a young, idealistic WWI soldier whose soul is being vied for by the very Devil himself. The concert commemorates the 5th anniversary of the Iraq War, and honors those fallen soldiers, and all those who are bravely serving our nation.
