Palm Beach Poetry Festival to Receive $10,000 NEA Art Works Grant

National Endowment for the Arts Chairman Jane Chu has approved an Art Works award of $10,000 to the Palm Beach Poetry Festival (PBPF) to support the nonprofit organization's 13th annual festival next January 16-21 in Delray Beach. The Festival's award is among more than $82 million that will fund local arts projects and partnerships in the NEA's second major funding announcement for fiscal year 2016. The Art Works category supports the creation of work and presentation of both new and existing work, lifelong learning in the arts, and public engagement with the arts through 13 arts disciplines or fields.

"The arts are all around us, enhancing our lives in ways both subtle and obvious, expected and unexpected," said NEA Chairman Jane Chu. "Supporting projects like the Palm Beach Poetry Festival offers more opportunities to engage in the arts every day."

The 13th annual Palm Beach Poetry Festival will be held January 16-21 at Old School Square in Delray Beach. The Festival features top poets at numerous ticketed public events, including readings, talks, interviews, panel discussions and more. Nine workshops will be offered for which applications are required.
