After successful engagements last season at Riverside Children's Theatre, the Lyric Theatre in Stuart, and the Florida Theatre Festival, Poodleful, A Pansy The Poodle Mystery will return to Riverside after performances at Louisville Children's Theatre in Kentucky in early March. Poodleful, A Pansy The Poodle Mystery a Riverside Theatricals' original musical for young audiences, will play the Anne Morton Stage at Riverside Theatre on March 10 and 11, 2017

Riverside Theatricals, a division of Riverside Theatre, was created with the purpose of originating new works. Their first production, Poodleful, A Pansy The Poodle Mystery was aimed at young audiences with the musical adaptation of Cynthia Bardes' children's book, Pansy at the Palace. Poodleful, A Pansy The Poodle Mystery follows the adventures of Pansy the poodle and a young girl named Avery at the glamorous Palace Hotel in Beverly Hills. Riverside Theatricals' shows in development include musical adaptations of Rapunzel and the new children's book, Leo, A Ghost Story.

Ken Clifton, Riverside Theatre's resident Music Director, wrote 10 original songs for the hour-long Poodleful, A Pansy The Poodle Mystery. Mr. Clifton also co-wrote the play with DJ Salisbury, a frequent Director/Choreographer at Riverside Theatre.

In the show, Pansy's life blossoms when she is adopted from an animal shelter by a loving family and little girl named Avery. Swept into her new life at the Palace Hotel in Beverly Hills, this smart and courageous puppy saves the day when a mysterious theft occurs, threatening to close down the hotel and disrupt the lives of her new family.

This production of Poodleful, A Pansy The Poodle Mystery is directed by Kevin Quillinan and choreographed by Adam Schnell. The cast includes: Samantha Alicandri, Jewel Blakeslee, Brandon Kalusa, Chris Robertson, Mary Catherine Waltman, and Molly Wiley.

Performances are:

March 11 @ 1:30pm and 5:30pm
