Maltz Jupiter Theatre Announces Julie Rowe As New Director of Education For The Conservatory Of Performing Arts

The Maltz Jupiter Theatre is thrilled to announce its new Director of Education for the Conservatory of Performing Arts (COPA). Julie Rowe comes to the Theatre from American Stage Theatre Company in St. Petersburg, Florida where she grew the Education Department programming 300% through outreach and awareness efforts.

Rowe has worked at Camp Broadway in New York City and was an Adjunct Professor in the Musical Theater program at Belmont University, an Education Coordinator at Tennessee Repertory Theatre and the Project Manager of the Juvenile Justice Theatre Workshop for at-risk teenagers. Rowe has also worked as the Tour Workshop Leader at The Children's Theatre Company in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she instructed children ages 8 - 13 years old in acting and movement while performing in the touring production.

In 2005, Rowe received the Professional Achievement Award for Arts and Humanities from the College of Arts and Sciences at Idaho State University, her alma mater. In addition to being a Nashville and Tampa Bay award-winning actress, Rowe is a member of AEA and AFTRA, the Managing Director of Economic Stimulus Productions and Vice President of the Board of Trustees for Suncoast AIDS Theatre Project.

In addition, "There were many impressive candidates, however, Julie had the ideal combination of strong administrative skills, teaching and performing experience coupled with and an extremely warm and nurturing personality," says Tricia Trimble, Managing Director of the Maltz Jupiter Theatre.

The Theatre's Conservatory of Performing Arts will host an Open House on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 from 3:30 to 6:00pm to introduce Julie Rowe to the students and parents. The Open House will announce the upcoming Fall Semester to the public and begin registrations.
