LOVE SCENES Florida Premiere At Empire Stage

FLORIDA PREMIERE OF THE LGBT HIT 

Empire Stage in Fort Lauderdale presents the Florida Premiere of David Pumo's Love Scenes, "An irresistible sextet of solo slices of lavender life." – Chicago Free Press. Voted Best of San Francisco Fringe Festival. 

Moe Bertran plays 6 characters including a twenty-year-old hustler falling for his kinky mentor; a Broadway producer in a locker room brawl with the starlet who's after his man; a sixty something martini drinker whose partner wants to have an open sexual relationship; and a drag diva ending her search for a rich husband to settle for true love. 

Love Scenes comes direct from sold out runs in New York, L.A., San Francisco, Chicago, London, Dublin and Atlantis Cruise Lines, gathering praise from critics along the way.  Garet Scott of Empire Stage says "We're very excited to be producing this show for our audiences in Fort Lauderdale. Moe Bertan and David Pumo are a fantastic creative couple and we are thrilled to welcome them to South Florida for the first time."

Empire Stage is an artist-driven collective that produces new and existing works for the diverse audiences of Ft Lauderdale, including the LGBT and Senior populations. The collective is committed to presenting dynamic works originating from both the New York City and South Florida theatrical communities and to offer theater artists a supportive environment where they can collaborate, take risks and develop as writers, directors, actors, designers and producers. Producing partners are David R. Gordon & Garet Scott.
