LGBTQ+ Church In PB Gardens Postpones Annual RAINBOW BALL

Rev. Marie Alford-Harkey, Senior Pastor of the Metropolitan Community Church of the Palm Beaches today announced the postponement of the upcoming Rainbow Ball 2020 due to the current COVID-19 pandemic.

"MCCPB takes very seriously the CDC's mandate on social distancing, so we are postponing the church's largest annual fundraiser until this fall," says Rev. Marie. "We hope to announce a new date soon."

Co-chaired by Chris & Robert Ruff and under the banner of "Respect - Dignity - Equality... for all," this year's Rainbow Ball was scheduled to be held on April 18 at the Airport Hilton in West Palm Beach.

The Metropolitan Community Church of the Palm Beaches is the largest faith-based community in Palm Beach County dedicated to serving the local LGBTQ+ community and its family members and friends. MCCPB offers Sunday worship at 10:30 am. Because the church is made up of people from both Protestant and Catholic backgrounds, elements of the services reflect both traditions, including scripture readings, hymns and contemporary music, prayer and a communion table that is open to everyone.
