The VAN WEZEL PERFORMING ARTS HALL is celebrating April Fools Day on Friday, April 1, at 8 p.m with Kathy Griffin. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 3.

The Emmy Award-winning Kathy Griffin is back! Known for her smart, fearless, and relatable brand of humor the actress, standup comedian, television personality, best-selling author and LGBT rights advocate will test the Sarasota audience once more.

From Seinfeld and Suddenly Susan to starring in the Bravo reality TV show My Life on the D-List for which she has won two Emmy Awards, Kathy Griffin is no stranger to hard work and show biz. She has co-hosted the Billboard Awards three years in a row, appeared on many of America's favorite talk shows and landed her own HBO special. Her regular television appearances and voice-over work prove her versatility as a performer and comic. While her outspoken nature has caused her some infamous wrist slaps, like the unforgettable New Years Eve "F-Bomb moment", it has also allowed her to do a lot of good in supporting some serious causes and organizations like aid For AIDS.
