Arts Garage - October 21st & 22nd

Arts Garage in Delray Beach has secured several of South Florida's top musical talents for their October 21st and 22nd concerts. On Friday, Emmy Award-winning composer/pianist Jace Vek will present the second in his ‘Jace Vek Experience' series, with virtuoso cellist Jonah Kim as his invited guest. And on Saturday evening, October 22nd, beloved jazz icon Jessie Jones, Jr. will return to Arts Garage to perform his unique blend of jazz, fusion, and funk in the second of this season's Jazz Project series. 

Friday, October 21, 2011, 7:30 PM: The Jace Vek Experience - with special guest -Cellist Jonah Kim.
Jace Vek's compositions transcend the boundaries of age and culture, bridging a divide of musical eras and style ranging in energy from tranquility to virtuosic displays of technical mastery. The Emmy Award-winning composer and concert pianist will combine his mastery of the piano with the artistry and talent of virtuoso cellist Jonah Kim to present an original work - a digital symphony in stunning HD.

Saturday, October 22, 2011, 8 PM: Jazz Project ~ Jesse Jones Jr.

One of Delray's favorites, Jesse Jones, Jr. - the father of ‘Scat-Hop' and Miami Jazz Hall of Fame inductee - debuted at Arts Garage in April 2011, helping to launch the venue's extremely successful Jazz Project. He was featured by The Collaborative at Art and Jazz on The Ave this July. The Miami native is a saxophonist extraordinaire, and continues to be in the forefront of a burgeoning jazz renaissance in South Florida. He recently toured in Russia, Austria, Italy and Germany. Jones' ability to captivate his audience with the classics and adapt them to his own swinging interpretations is legendary.

Tickets: $30 advance preferred seating, $25 advance reserved seating, $20 advance general admission, and $25 general admission at the door.

As always, audiences are encouraged to BYOW (Bring Your Own Whatever!) to enjoy during the performance. 

All performances take place at Arts Garage, 180 N.E. First Street (lower level of the Old School Square Parking Garage).
