Hair - The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical

Book & Lyrics by: Gerome Ragni & James Rado

Music by: Galt MacDermot

LAKE WORTH PLAYHOUSE

NON-EQUITY, NON-PAID

Director/Choreographer, Robert Dawson

Seeking singers and actors of all ethnicities to play members of 'the tribe,' a group of spirited hippies who protest the war in Vietnam and celebrate free love, spiritual enlightenment and racial equality.

Hair will be directed and choreographed by Carbonell Award nominee Robert Dawson, and will begin rehearsal in late May, open on July 18th and run through August 9th, 2008.  All roles are open.

Please prepare a song in the pop, rock or rhythm & blues style.  A pianist will be provided.  You must have sheet music or a CD with music only (without someone singing.)  Bring clothing and appropriate footwear for a brief movement audition.  You may also be asked to read from the script.

Because Hair contains adult language and brief (non-sexual) nudity, all cast members must be at least 18 years old.

Please visit their website at www.lakeworthplayhouse.org  for more information about the Playhouse, auditions, and their upcoming season.
