SHOW #4
. . . And Then She Moved The Furniture. . .
by Manny Diez
Directed by David Jay Bernstein
2/25 - 3/19/06
World Premiere by Screenwriter and Miami Playwright, Manny Diez.
Based on actual events.  It is a little-known fact that, based on
documented and tragic results,  The U.S. Army warns all wives of
special forces soldiers departing for war, not to move the furniture
while their soldier is away.  This gripping and brilliantly written
drama is based on the true story of a military sniper who left
for "Desert Storm" in 1991 and returned to find that his wife had
moved the furniture.  Not a good thing!!

SHOW #5
(Co-Production of Public Theatre and PPTOPA@City Theatre)
The Diary of Anne Frank
by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett
(newly adapted by Wendy Kesselman)
Directed by David Jay Bernstein
March 24 – April 9 at PPTOPA's City Theatre
April 15 - 4/23/06 at Soref JCC
In 1942, Otto Frank, his wife and two daughters, another couple with
their teenage son and a dentist, went into hiding in a "secret
annex" above an office in Amsterdam; hoping to wait out the war
without being discovered by The Nazis.  His daughter, Anne, began
chronicling their experience and her personal feelings in her
diary . . . continuing for two years until. . .
This bold new adaptation draws on previously censored materials from
Anne's original diary.  This is not the Anne Frank you think you
remember.  "SHATTERS THE HEART"- New York Times  "Brilliant.
Inspired.  An extraordinary theatrical adventure" - New York Post

SHOW #6
Fabulation
or The Re-Education of Undine
by Lynn Nottage
Directed by Michael Yawney
5/13-6/4/06
The Off-Broadway Smash-Hit Comedy!!  Sharona Watkins flees her
underprivileged family and creates a new identity as Undine,
powerful and ruthless public relations diva.  But when her husband
steals her blind and she is inadvertently involved in a scandal --
she is forced to return to her family and re-examine her roots and
her identity. FABULATION is Lynn Nottage's Follow-Up to her 1994 NY
Drama Critics' Award for INTIMATE APPAREL.  And the NY critics loved
it!! "(A) robustly entertaining comedy!" Ben Brantley, NY Times
"Lynn Nottage's new satire, "Fabulation or, The Re-Education of
Undine," is a morality play etched in acid and laced with humor
about the scandalous fall of a pushy African-American public-
relations diva and her ethical regeneration." United Press Int'l
