The Florida Theatre announces the Elvis Costello show scheduled for September 21 will be postponed to a later date.

It is with regret and sorrow that Elvis Costello announces that he must delay the start of next leg of "The Spectacular Spinning Songbook Tour" until the 24th of September in Atlanta. This is due to matters pertaining to the very serious illness of a close family member. All shows prior to the 24th will be postponed.

A spokesman for the tour stressed that Mr. Costello's wife and children were in excellent health but declined to elaborate further hoping that people would understand the desire and need for calm and privacy at this difficult time.

Tickets for the September 21 show at the Florida Theatre will be honored at the postponed date which is to be determined. As soon as the tour is rescheduled information will be released. It is hoped that all of these dates will be rescheduled as early as possible in 2012.

For tickets, refunds or information please call the Florida Theatre Box Office at (904) 355-2787 or visit us at www.floridatheatre.com. The Florida Theatre is conveniently located at 128 East Forsyth Street in Downtown Jacksonville. Tickets are also available through Ticketmaster.
