By:

The ultimate Shoot Out at the O.K. Cabaret by FST Improv begins Tuesday January 24 at 8:30pm. The Improv show continues every Tuesday night this Winter though March 20 in the Goldstein Cabaret (1241 N. Palm Avenue, Sarasota FL 34236). Tickets are $12 and can be purchased online at www.FloridaStudioTheatre.org, by phone at (941) 366-9000 or by visiting the Box Office.

Shoot Out at the O.K. Cabaret is a brand new FST Improv show where four improvisers take to the stage for the ultimate competition of comedy prowess. And it’s up to the audience to pick the favorite desperado.

FST Improv is Sarasota’s resident Improv troupe at Florida Studio Theatre. Under the direction of Mrs. Hopkins, the Improv program has expanded from its humble beginnings in 2001 to a year-round performance schedule, the Sarasota Improv Festival, and Improv education classes.

The cast of 9 actors includes the FST Improv regulars, including: Christine Alexander, Tim Beasley, Catey Brannan, Christopher Friday, Darryl Knapp, Angel M. Parker, Adam Ratner, Samantha Stern, and Steve Turrisi.

Shoot Out at the O.K. Cabaret will play Tuesdays, beginning January 24 through March 20 at 8:30pm in the Goldstein Cabaret. Tickets are only $12 and can be purchased online at floridastudiotheatre.org or by calling the box office at (941) 366-9000.

ABOUT FLORIDA STUDIO THEATRE
Known as Sarasota’s Contemporary Theatre, Florida Studio Theatre was founded in 1973 by Jon Spelman. Starting out as a small touring company, FST traveled to places such as migrant camps and prisons. The company eventually settled down into a permanent home, acquiring the former Woman’s Club building – now renamed the Keating Theatre. In the years that followed, Florida Studio Theatre established itself as a major force in American Theatre, presenting contemporary theatre in its three theatre venues: the Keating Theatre, the Goldstein Cabaret and its newest space, the Gompertz Theatre.

Even with its growth, Florida Studio Theatre remains firmly committed to making the arts accessible and affordable to a broad-based audience. Under Richard Hopkins, Artistic Director and CEO, FST develops theatre that speaks to our living, evolving, and dynamically changing world. As FST grows and expands, it continues to provide audiences with challenging, contemporary drama and innovative programs.
