From South Florida entertainment and event producer to Broadway producer, Neil Goldberg's career has spanned over 25 years. He began as a South Florida event producer (Parties by Neil / Entertainment Etcetera,) then corporate entertainment producer (The Zanadu Dance Company) and in 1993 founder and artistic director of Cirque Productions, the first American company to produce cirque style entertainment for events and public theatre based in Pompano Beach, Florida. In 1995 the company produced its first public touring show entitled "Cirque Ingenieux" which received worldwide critical acclaim and aired nationally as a PBS television special.
This summer, Neil's most recent critically acclaimed theatrical creation, CIRQUE DREAMS JUNGLE FANTASY, which began touring the country in 2006 and has been presented by Broadway Across America series throughout the U.S., will open on Broadway for an extended engagement at the Broadway Theatre, 1681 Broadway, New York City. CIRQUE DREAMS JUNGLE FANTASY is an exotic encounter inspired by nature's unpredictable creations that are brought to life by an international cast of 25 aerialists, spine-bending contortionists, acrobats, jugglers and musicians. The feats performed in this action packed Cirque Dreams are enhanced with over 150 costumes and set in a fantastical jungle ignited by striking visual effects. From the aerial ballet of butterflies to the balancing giraffes, gigantic flowers and trees, this world-class explosion of athleticism, theatre and imagination will be a Broadway first.
In January 2008 Broadway Across America presented CIRQUE DREAMS JUNGLE FANTASY at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach for one week to nearly sold out audiences. In 2009, direct from Broadway, the show will continue to tour the U.S. and include stops in Florida.
