By: BWW News Desk
Executive Producer Derelle Bunn announced today that, due to reasons of ill health, Jeffrey Bruce has withdrawn from the Broward Stage Door Theatre Company's world premiere production of Tony Finstrom's award-winning comedy KNISH ALLEY!
The official opening of the new play, previously set for July 10th, will now take place on July 17th, with Steven Chambers assuming the role Bruce vacates; that of an aging Yiddish Theatre star loosely fashioned after the great Jacob Adler.Set in the early 1900s, KNISH ALLEY! tells the story of a poor troupe of Yiddish actors on board an ocean liner, as it crosses from England to America, who work menial jobs on the ship by day and perform operettas up on deck by night to earn their passage to a new and better life they hope awaits them on New York's lower east side, on Second Avenue, otherwise known as "KNISH ALLEY!"Videos
