With Valentine's Day around the corner, there are several fun events in South Florida that will help you feel the love. Whether you are taking your Valentine or going solo, these shows can be the perfect treat for your sweetheart (or yourself).


Promises, Promises at West Boca Theatre Company

This Neil Simon and Burt Bacharach musical comedy is filled with memorable tunes such as "I Will Never Fall In Love Again," "I Say A Little Prayer," "Turkey Lurkey Time," and "This House Is Not A Home." Available bachelor Chuck Baxter is a junior insurance executive who desperately wants a promotion, and is madly in love with cafeteria waitress Fran Kubelik. In an effort to climb the corporate ladder, Chuck lends his boss, Mr. Sheldrake, the keys to his apartment to use for his extramarital liaisons. Tables turn when Chuck discovers that Fran is one of Sheldrake's mistresses.

Promises, Promises runs February 21 through March 9, 2019, at the Adolph and Rose Levis Jewish Community Center, located at 9801 Donna Klein Boulevard in Boca Raton.

7th Avenue at The Wick Theatre

Founded by Chris Rupp (from the country a cappella group Home Free), this vocal quartet blends various styles of pop, rock, jazz, and country in their covers of Top 40 hits. Some of their best videos on YouTube include covers of "Uptown Funk" by Bruno Mars, "No" by Meghan Trainor, and "Can't Help Falling In Love" by Elvis Presley. These singers will wow you with their close harmonies and unique personalities.

Mamma Mia at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre

Feature: Celebrate Valentine's Day at the Theatre with these Fort Lauderdale Shows Image

This long-running Broadway hit was the inspiration for not one, but two feature films. Twenty-year-old Sophie is days away from getting married. Despite being raised by her single mother, Donna, Sophie is determined to be walked down the aisle by her father. When three of Donna's ex-lovers arrive for the wedding, Sophie must determine which one is her actual father. You will dance in the aisles to some of ABBA's greatest tunes, including "Dancing Queen," "Voulez Vous," and "Honey Honey."

The Jersey Tenors at The Wick Theatre

This show is billed as "America's hottest new tribute act, from Frank Sinatra to Frankie Valli to Figaro." The Jersey Tenors blend classics from the opera stage with rock and roll legends like Queen and Journey. At the same time, these talented tenors pay homage to some of Jersey's greatest musicians. In addition to Sinatra and the Four Seasons, you will hear tunes from Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, and even Whitney Houston.
