Tickets to DISNEY IN CONCERT at Orpheum Theatre On Sale 12/1
Just in time for the holidays, Disney in Concert: Magical Music from the Movies will go on sale to the public Monday, December 1st at 10:00 AM. Presented by Kroger and produced through a special partnership between The Orpheum Theatre and The Memphis Symphony Orchestra, this spectacular concert event will play for two performances: Saturday, March 28th, 2015 at 7:30 PM and Sunday, March 29th, 2015 at 2:00 PM.
Tickets will be available for purchase online at the official Orpheum Theatre website, www.orpheum-memphis.com, The Orpheum Box Office (901.525.3000), the ticket counter at The Booksellers at Laurelwood, and all Ticketmaster centers (901.743.ARTS). Tickets start at just $25.
Come be enchanted by Disney in Concert: Magical Music from the Movies with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra, projected video clips from iconic Disney films, and four leading vocalists. Every new generation has a favorite Disney musical, whether it's The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King or Frozen. And then there are the classics, from a Mary Poppins medley to the "Yo ho" of Pirates of the Caribbean. When everyone joins together for memorable moments and melodies that Mouseketeers of all ages know by heart, it feels like a small world, after all.
After production expenses, proceeds from this special engagement will benefit The Memphis Symphony Orchestra. The nonprofits' goal is to raise $150,000 through sponsorships and ticket sales. The performances will also better acquaint the Orpheum's Broadway theatergoers to the Memphis Symphony and allow families throughout the Mid-South to introduce their children to the wonders of orchestral music through the magic of Disney.
The Orpheum Theatre and Memphis Symphony Orchestra recognizes Kroger for its generous support as the event's presenting sponsor. In honor of Kroger, patrons are encouraged to bring canned food or monetary donations for the Mid-South Food Bank.
