Two sensational violinists of Malaysian descent, both brothers and both major prize-winners, are the stars in this generous program of solo and double concertos. Together they perform the best-known concerto for two violins (Bach), and individually romantically infused concertos by Saint-Saëns and Bruch. Topping off the program is another work drenched in romanticism, Tchaikovsky's musical portrayal of the timeless Romeo and Juliet story.
