Maine State Music Theatre Invites All To 'Be Our Guest' At BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

Maine State Music Theatre steps back in time for its second show of the season, Disney's Beauty and the Beast. This revered fairytale runs from June 27 - July 14. Due to popular demand, the theatre has added performances on July 7 and July 14 at 2 PM.

This timeless family favorite tells the story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. All of the fanciful characters, such as a talking tightly wound clock (the butler), adorable tea cup (a young boy), and a kindhearted candelabra (maître d'), are trapped in this spellbound form until the beast, can learn to love and have his love returned. But time is running out. Disney's Beauty and the Beastis based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature, with songs including "Be Our Guest," "Gaston," and of course "Beauty and the Beast."

The cast is led by Lexi Rabadi (Belle) and Darick Pead (Beast) with Ethan Carlson (Lefou), Matthew Ragas (Gaston), Glenn Anderson (Maurice), John Reeger (Cogsworth), James Patterson (Lumiere), Bria Jene' Williams (Babette), Paula Scrofano (Mrs. Potts), Susan Moniz (Madame de la Grande Bouche), and Aymeric Dauge-Roth (Chip). The principal cast is joined by ensemble players Kelly Liz Bolick, Drew Carr, Elisabeth Christie, Glenn Davis, Carissa Gaughran, Caleb James Grochalski, Jake Hartman, Dan Bob Higgins, Jessie Lawyer (The Enchantress), Stevie Ann Mack, Lauren McDonald, Reagan Danel Ogle, Michael Olaribigbe (The Carpet), Melaina Corey Rairamo, Buddy Reeder (Dance Captain), Matty Rickard, and Alec Duffy Talbott. The youth ensemble includes Remington Crawford, Jelena Mitrovic, and Sophia Scott.

The show is directed by Marc Robin and Curt Dale Clark. Music Director is Brian Cimmet with Assistant Music Director Ben McNaboe. Costume design is by Ryan Moller, Lighting Design by Jeffrey S. Koger, Projections Design by Dan Efros, Assistant Projection Design by Ryan Swift Joyner, Set Design by Tom Ryan, Sound Design by Shannon Slaton and Wigs Design by Gerard James Kelly.
