SHEAR MADNESS, the longest running play in the United States, makes it Maine debut this winter presented by Good Theater. The show opens January 27 and runs for eight weeks through March 20, at the St. Lawrence Arts Center, 76 Congress Street, Portland. Good Theater is the professional theater company in residence at the St. Lawrence.

SHEAR MADNESS is the hilarious whodunit that has been delighting audiences in Boston for 36 years and at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC for 27 years! More than 11 million people have seen SHEAR MADNESS worldwide with over 42 productions.

SHEAR MADNESS is set in a unisex hair salon. A murder has been committed and the cast along with help from the audience need to figure out who the murderer is. Each performance of SHEAR MADNESS is unique with up to the minute jokes, local references and lots of fun.

The Good Theater production of SHEAR MADNESS stars Paul Drinan, Timothy C. Goodwin, Laura Houck, Kathleen Kimball, Conor Riordan Martin and Michael Wood. Good Theater's Artistic Director, Brian P. Allen, directs the production. Michael Lynch is the production stage manager. Steve Underwood with assistance from Cheryl Dolan, Jeanne Handy, Craig Robinson and Christopher Tarjan created the set - a working hair salon.

Timothy C. Goodwin has performed in many companies of SHEAR MADNESS throughout the country and is making his Good Theater debut with this production. Paul Drinan and Laura Houck were featured in last year's production of Regrets Only and with Kathleen Kimball the trio starred in Becky's New Car the season before. Michael Wood was the star of Mrs. Mannerly last year and Conor Martin was seen in Good Theater's recent production of The Rainmaker.
