Freeport Community Center (43 Depot Street) will host Freeport Players' First Friday Dinner Concert, "Baby It's Cole Outside" tonight, February 1. 6pm concert, 7pm dinner.

The First Friday Dinner Concert series brings the community together for great music and delicious meals. February's event features Freeport Players' alums Lisa Bossi (Radio 2011) and Elizabeth Guffey (Radio, Chanson) on vocals and David Watts (Radio's WFCP Orchestra) on piano and vocals. Lisa, Elizabeth and David have entertained First Friday audiences in the past as part of "Ladies Of Flame." This time around they are presenting a program of standards by Cole Porter, including torch songs to cabaret and Broadway favorites.

February's Downton Abbey-inspired meal -- prepared by Mabel Gerquest and her crew -- is a nod to the jazz age. The audience is invited (but not required) to dress for the occasion to put us all in the Cole Porter / jazz mood.

Tickets $18 (includes mini-concert and meal). BYOB. Seating is limited. Call Kim at 865-3985 for reservations today. (Follow the voice mail prompts to FCS and Kim Hudak and leave a message with your name and the number of people in your party.)
