The Children's Museum and Theatre of Maine will end its run of the children's classic THE EMPEROR'S NEW CLOTHES on March 21st.

The Emperor's New Clothes, written by Michele Livermore Wigton and directed by Reba Short, is about a well-dressed ruler who learns not to let his pride win out over his good sense and that even when you look silly, you can use humility always prevails. Performances take place March 4th-5th and 18th-19th at 4pm and March 6th-7th and 20th-21st at 1pm & 4pm.

Children's Theatre of Portland  was founded by the Junior League of Portland in 1923, making it the oldest continuously operating children's theatre in the United States.  Today, it exists to inspire discovery and imagination through exploration and play.  The Museum & Theatre serves as an indispensable resource for families and educators, helping to create a broad community devoted to our children's development and learning.  CMTM produces theatre for kids, by kids, in the Dress-Up Theatre. There are opportunities for young audiences to see a show and young actors to develop their skills.
