Tell me more, tell me more! After many years without a spring show, the Oak Hill Players of Scarborough High School are beginning rehearsals for the smash hit musical, GREASE! The cast includes myself, junior Samuel Laro (CRAZY FOR YOU, ANYTHING GOES, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS) as greaser Danny Zuko, and senior Hallie Scammell (CRAZY FOR YOU, WEST SIDE STORY, WHITE CHRISTMAS) as the hopelessly devoted Sandy Dumbrowski.

The Oak Hill Players (OHP) have just completed a extremely well received 10-show-run of CRAZY FOR YOU, directed and choreographed by Broadway Alumnus, Jonathan Miele. Miele was a member of the original Broadway cast of MACK AND MABEL headlining Bernadette Peters and Robert Preston. Having just undergone two knee replacements the brilliant tap dancer is ready to get back to the stage. He will forego the role of choreographer, a role which he usually plays, and solely be the director for this show. GREASE at Scarborough High will be choreographed by junior Sasha Borodkina and Rachel Corcoran, parent of cast members Liam and Brennan Corcoran.

This show is one unlike anything else that has been done at Scarborough High School, since Miele was brought in as director. The shows done in recent years include WHITE CHRISTMAS, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, ANYTHING GOES, and HELLO DOLLY. While Miele tends to direct more classic Broadway shows, the executive student producers of GREASE for OHP, Hallie Scammell and Elizabeth Hobbs, convinced both Miele and the school board to allow the members of OHP to put up spring show for the first time in many years. The two student producers are putting all the right helpers in place to make sure that this is a show to remember.

The rest of the cast includes: Elizabeth Hobbs as Betty Rizzo, Brennan Corcoran as Kenickie, Liam Corcoran as Doody/Teen Angel, Bella Ingream as Frenchy, Claire Merrill as Marty, Elizabeth Albahary as Jan, Ben Rico as Sonny, Abe Jordan as Roger, and Erin McKeown as Patty Simcox.

The show dates are May 4th and 6th at 7 PM, and May 6th and 7th at 1 PM at the Winslow Homer Center for the Arts.
