What's Socrates got to do with it anyway? I sat down with Katie Spagnolo (WEST SIDE STORY, ADDAMS FAMILY) and Connor Donnelly (LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, FOOTLOOSE) who play Lucy and Schroeder respectively and found out some information about their rehearsal process for YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN at the Seaside Pavilion.

"This show feels like a hug," said Donnelly with a smile. "It's very deceptive in a way. I thought this show was going to be very easy to master, but then, as we kept rehearsing, things kept getting more and more complex. To the audience, it's very simple and easy to follow because there's no real plot line, but entertaining enough to keep them interested."

I asked Donnelly what he thought Schroeder's favorite ice cream flavor was and without a hint of a doubt he said, "black raspberry. It's purple just like everything else in Schroeder's life."

"Local and live theatre is so very important to the world. It sends messages that people need to hear in a way that they are willing to listen to," said Donnelly.

YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN played at the Seaside Pavilion on June 17th.
