In celebration of Leonard Bernsteins 100th Birthday, Capital City Theatre, in collaboration with Madison Ballet, presents the musical, On the Town, May 30 June 2 at the Capitol Theater at Overture Center for the Arts. A hit on Broadway in 1944, it tells the story of 3 sailors on a 24-hour leave in NYC. The Big Apple inspires dreams of adventure and fun as Gabey, Chip & Ozzie long for romance and soon meet up with three feisty females who show them that sight-seeing is more than just museums & Central Park!TICKETS: $25-$55 (group rates available) capitalcitytheatre.org or at the Overture Box Ofc 608/258-4141Cast includes local Madison performers as well as talent from NYC, Chicago and Milwaukee. Director will be Josh Walden who has worked on Broadway and regionally.
