Only one actor on stage during 1:20. Magistral. Alone and arrogant, cynical and cheeky, burlesque and immoral ... A man tribune that seems to have the whole nation at her feet. And to support him in that speech of breathtaking river density, David Murgia can count on the discreet but oh so subtly, a sidekick guitarist that gives the show an extra touch of fantasy.
The text of Ascanio Celestini is once again brilliant, funny and squeaky. This worthy heir Dario Fo shuffleboard. His words slide and bounce to bring us into a modern world of extreme analysis (sé) truth, both lucid and cruel. Between two-way text, hollow slogans and ferocious denunciation, the viewer embarks on a narrative with many voices, of the class struggle in making bread, of high finance to immigration, an improbable story umbrellas lots of prostitutes in the East.
With verve and cynicism, David Murgia forces us to look straight today the powerful in the eyes and confronts us in a last outburst, the defects and flaws in the current system. Before we plant there, in front of the stage, with our yellow smiles, our doubts and, why not, our desire for rivoluzione silenziosa!
