It was then made into the popular 1989 movie starring Sally Field and Julia Roberts. Derby Dinners production of STEEL MAGNOLIAS was directed by Lee Buckholz with a cast that includes Heather Paige Folsom, Mandi Elkins Hutchins, Cami Glauser, Joey Banigan Jones, Jillian Prefach Baker, and Elizabeth Loos.
