Franz Schmidt's Das Buch mit Sieben Siegeln, performed by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, takes place at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center from March 1 to March 3, 2024. Conducted by Fabio Luisi, this monumental work draws inspiration from the Book of Revelation, depicting the dramatic imagery of the world's final destruction. The performance features a talented cast including tenor Paul Appleby, bass Franz-Josef Selig, soprano Meghan Kasanders, mezzo-soprano Kelley O’Connor, and others, supported by the Dallas Symphony Chorus under the direction of Anthony Blake Clark. This presentation honors Schmidt's legacy as his 150th birthday is celebrated this December.
