Actors Theatre Artistic Director Marc Masterson and Managing Director Jennifer Bielstein announce the limited-run engagement of Greater Tuna by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears and Ed Howard. The production will run in the Bingham Theatre, November 17 - December 13, 2009.

The original ten-gallon comedy! Two actors portray the quirky denizens of Tuna, the third-smallest town in Texas, bringing men, women, kids, and even animals to life through lightning-quick costume changes, cross-dressing artistry and goofy social satire of Lone Star lunacy. Join other fans for this prequel to the recently retired Louisville favorite, A Tuna Christmas, and experience the Southern-grown spoof that launched the Tuna phenomenon.

"While it was time to retire A Tuna Christmas after a 13-year run, we didn't want to leave our audiences without their favorite characters from the tiny town in Texas," said director and Actors Theatre Artistic Director Marc Masterson. "Returning to the original play, to see how the characters came to life, is something we are all looking forward to."
