Excaliber Shakespeare Company of Chicago and Excaliber Shakespeare Company Los Angeles Archival Project Founder Darryl Maximilian Robinson starred as Sherlock Holmes in and staged three multiracial cast stage productions during the 1990s including "Sherlock Holmes: The Final Problem!", "Sherlock Holmes: The Adventure of Black Peter" and "An Evening With Sherlock Holmes" ( which consisted of "Black Peter" for the first act and "The Adventure of The Dying Detective" for the second act, followed by the cast presenting a selection of The Sonnets by William Shakespeare ). All three productions were presented in The Greater St. Louis, Missouri area between 1992 and 1994 at such venues as The Midtown Arts Center of St. Louis, The Little Theatre of St. Louis University and The Miller's Daughter's Pub of St. Charles, Missouri.
