THE ONLY GIRL WHO LIKES FRANK ZAPPA is an incisive, funny, and cutting play about modern relationships, connections based on 90s nostalgia, people who use pop culture references to avoid talking about their emotions, and how we choose our identities and our pasts. Bo, a music writer and son of a former TV star, and Deena, his progressive contract writer Jewish wife, flee LA for Palm Springs after an earthquake knocks out their power. They are joined there by Bo's "almost stepsister" Adira, a vivacious Jewish artist, and her older TV executive girlfriend, Renata. Bo decides to reignite an unspoken attraction he believes he and Adira have shared for almost thirty years. But memory isn't truth, it's a weapon and a shield, used to protect ourselves and attack others. After the performance there will be a cast QA and discussion with best selling author Collin Armstrong (Polybius). RSVP with # of Guests to stagedreadingrsvp@gmail.com
