The Blank Theatre presents the 33rd Annual Young Playwrights Festival, showcasing three of twelve winning plays written by young playwrights aged 16 to 19 from July 10 to 13 at the Skylight Theatre in Los Feliz. The featured works include Max Leventon's Chess in the Park, directed by Jazmine Nichelle and starring Toks Olagundoye and Ptolemy Slocum; Maya Rosen's Revolutionary, directed by Arianna Basco with a cast including Seth Allyn Austin and Nathalia Coppa; and Keya Mehta's Noor-Eh-Man (My Light), directed by Camille Chen and featuring Amber Afzali and Abdullah Khalil. Each play explores unique themes and narratives, highlighting the talents of emerging playwrights.
