YARMY'S ARMY, a madcap review of some of the funniest and most popular comedians of TV and film, was held as a One Night Only fundraiser for the Group Rep on April 21, at the Lonny Chapman Theatre in North Hollywood, California. A reception for the cast and patrons hosted by the members of the Group Rep followed the hilarious show.

The sold out evening included performances by Pat Harrington, Jr., Greg Lewis, Jim MacGeorge, Peter Marshall, Mike Preminger, John Regis, and Howard Storm.  The evening was planned by Yarmy's Army member Howard Storm and GRT member Elliott Goldwag.

Pat Harrington, Jr. served as Master of Ceremonies.  John Regis started the show followed by Greg Lewis (former member of the Harmonicats) who played the harmonica, Mike Preminger, Peter Marshall, and the Jim MacGeorge who cracked up the audience with his well-known imitation of Stan Laurel

The group of comedians, Yarmy's Army, is named after the late actor-comic Dick Yarmy (brother of Don Adams) and was formed by his comedian pals in 1995 to honor him and to raise money for performers who may have need of financial help.  Yarmy's Army donated their time and talent for this very special Group Rep Fundraiser.  Over three thousand dollars was raised to help refurbish the theatre's vintage seats.

The Group Rep at the Lonny Chapman Theatre, located in the NoHo Arts District, is one of the longest continuously running theaters companies in Southern California.

A.R. Gurney's "Sweet Sue" is the current offering at the Group Rep which has been extended through May 9th.  Next up is the musical "Baby," which opens June 4th.
