Todd Sherry and Heather Olt to Host UP, WITH A TWIST Upstairs at Vitello's, 6/2
Todd & Heather, a comedic duo, reminiscent of Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis, the Smothers Brothers, Donny & Marie and Lucy & Ethel, host this new show, which features "songs you know...unlike you've ever heard them before!"
Todd Sherry & Heather Olt are proud to announce that they will be hosting, Up, With a Twist at Upstairs at Vitello's on Monday, June 2, 2014 with an all-star line-up!
Todd & Heather welcome you into their martini-filled world, as they invite their celebrity friends to put a "twist" on some of your favorite tunes. The evening is hosted by Todd Sherry (Parks and Recreation, Suburgatory, Sam & Cat, The Millers, Just Go With It) and Heather Olt (Justified, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Scandal, Major Crimes, American Horror Story). Scheduled to appear are Jai Rodriguez (Queer Eye, How I Met Your Mother, Malibu Country), Jim J. Bullock (Too Close for Comfort, Spaceballs, Hairspray), Tony winner Daisy Eagan (Tony for Secret Garden and is the youngest female actress to win), Carla Renata (Hart of Dixie, Shake It Up!), Shawn Ryan (Bones, Semi-Finalist on America's Got Talent), Michael Cline (Me and My Girl), Mandy Fabian (Grey's Anatomy, Dropping the Soap), Pat Whiteman, Meredith Pyle, Mandy Kaplan-Klavens, and the cast of Dorian's Descent at the MET Theatre.
As a comedic duo, Todd & Heather have brought Christmas Cheer to LA the past three years with their show, Todd & Heather's Christmas Cheer, which has played to sold-out crowds at M Bar. "Sherry is one of those people who, like Jason Graae, can make you laugh uproariously one moment, then choke back a tear the next. There's an impishness to everything he says or does and an edge in his voice somewhere between serious and comic that makes audiences laugh almost as soon as he opens his mouth.....Olt, who seems capable of singing anything extremely well, also excels in the mood swing department - purring a sultry rendition of "I'll Be Home for Christmas" that was absolutely stunning, squeezing every possible ounce of emotion out of the lyric, and then stumbling hilariously over the Hawaiian words in "Mele Kalikimaka." -Elliot Zwiebach, Cabaret Scenes
