The Wallis Extends JACKIE UNVEILED & Adds Second Chita Rivera Show
Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts announces an extension for Jackie Unveiled and the addition of a second show for Broadway @ The Wallis -- Chita Rivera with Seth Rudetsky.
Jackie Unveiled, the world premiere of award-winning playwright Tom Dugan's one-woman drama starring Saffron Burrows (Amazon's "Mozart in the Jungle") and directed by Jenny Sullivan, has been extended through Sunday, March 18, 2018. The searing drama is set against two of Jackie's most seminal life moments, examining the deeply personal struggles of a woman who seemed to have it all. A second show in the acclaimed Broadway @ The Wallis series featuring two-time Tony Award-winner Chita Rivera performing alongside Sirius XM Radio host and music director Seth Rudetsky has been added on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at 9:30 pm. The unscripted evening features a seamless mix of intimate behind-the-scenes stories from the ten-time Tony Award-nominated actress, singer and dancer, prompted by Rudetsky's probing, funny, revealing questions. Rivera performs greatest hits from her vast musical theater repertoire, including songs from her legendary roles of Anita in West Side Story, Rose in Bye Bye Birdie and Velma in Chicago.
