Sheldon Epps, Artistic Director of The Pasadena Playhouse, says, "For the past few seasons we have made great efforts to keep the lights glowing at The Playhouse as often as possible. With that as a goal, it is our pleasure to fill our few dark weekends with "special presentations" such as this. We have found that they help us to attract new audiences, while also giving our loyal supporters the thrill of seeing theatrical events that they might not otherwise have the chance to enjoy. These have become valuable, exciting weekends for us which bring both new and existing audiences great joy!" The Chicago Tribune called Ferrante's performance in AN EVENING WITH GROUCHO "Nothing Short of Masterful," while Variety said, "Ferrante's Groucho is a Tour de Force." "Mr. Ferrante's Timing is Digital Sharp," said The New York Times, while LA Weekly called it, "Uncanny... Astonishing."
