THE SNAIL to Play The Elephant Space
Directly from Italy, The Fabulous Dreams Production comes back at Hollywood Fringe Festival in Los Angeles for the second time, with a world premiere of "The Snail", a dark comedy show.
"The Snail" is a comedy/drama story of Andrew, a transgender who discovers his identity through the relationship with parents, with peers and with sex. A story represented in an ironic key, that varies the paces between comedy flicks of his traditional Italian family and situations deeply moving. Andrew is a young boy locked in a body that he doesn't recognize. He would like to change his body into a woman to feel free to express himself to the world around him, in which every day he plays a role pretending to be what it is not and he has to fight against people prejudices.
The project, founded with the aim to develop and spread the equal opportunities topic, is a co-production between the Italian-American Fabulous Dreams Production, Combined Artform and Matthew Quinn".

The Fabulous Dreams Production, cultural association founded in 2013 that works to promote Italian culture through the arts of theatre, film, dance and music, .Founded by Fabio Zito, his goal is to produce theatre shows, feature films and acting workshops.
Between 2013 and 2015 the FDP produced five short films that participated in many international festivals, and seven plays, on tour throughout Italy and is currently developing an Italian - American Feature Film.
The company is made up of seven partners, of which one director/writer, three actors and three actresses, and many other collaborators, such as technical, press office and international actors. All the company Members have met during an international workshop in Los Angeles two years ago, as they begun to work together. They soon bounded on the philosophy of promoting organic acting throughout unique, mysterious and hilarious characters. Most of them are based on Italian stories, but F.D.P. has produced shows that catch the attention of an international audience too.
Now we are running for the Hollywood Fringe Festival 2015, where, thanks to theatre Asylum and co-producer Matthew Quinn, we will stage in June "The snail", a comedy widely followed by Italian audience. After collecting good reviews from the Italian press, it was time for us to bring this fast paced comedy in Los Angeles where our roads crossed more than 2 years ago. The idea of bringing a lot of fun, twists and Italian charm to an international audience thrill us. If you are an American or from other country and want to learn some urban Italian words don't hesitate to come see us you will learn a lot. It will be a fantastic experience but also important for our future projects and to educate the audience about a topic that is getting big attention.
Following this production our next step will be to stage our other Italian comedies in Los Angeles and New York, participating at local festivals and the 2015/2016 season theatre. But also to create sitcoms for the American Tv, news shorts and feature films.
