Sally Kellerman, Amy Madigan, Felicity Huffman & David Eigenberg to Attend NARAL Pro-Choice Reception on 5/24

The NARAL Pro-Choice America's 2012 Los Angeles Power of Choice Reception will be held at The Standard Hollywood Hotel; 8300 Sunset Boulevard; West Hollywood, CA 90069 on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 7 pm. Sarah Brokaw, David Eigenberg, Felicity Huffman, Sally Kellerman, Sarah Kelly, Carol Leifer, Amy Madigan, Corky Hale and Mike Stoller will be among those attending.

Nancy Keenan, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America, commented on the importance of the event, "as the rest of the country wrestles with outrageous attacks on a woman's right to choose, California remains a bright, shining light for respecting a woman's ability to make personal, private decisions." Keenan announced on May 10th that she would be leaving NARAL at the end of 2012. This will be her last public appearance in Los Angeles as president.

Amy Everitt, state director of NARAL Pro-Choice California, added: "The Power of Choice Reception is an opportunity for pro-choice Californians – including activists, donors, celebrities and elected leaders – to show the entire country what it means to stand up for our pro-choice values."

Carol Leifer, Event Emcee said: "Choice is especially important to me when it comes to elections. Where a candidate stands on the isSue Tells me how they see and respect me, not only as a woman, but as a human being."

Actress and former NARAL Pro-Choice America Board member, Amy Madigan, added: "I have been fighting for a woman's right to choose since I was a teenager growing up in Chicago. This is a fundamental right, and NARAL Pro-Choice America is the only organization that combines the political, the policy and the people."
