STRAITJACKET SIRENS To Be Presented At The Hollywood Fringe
Directed by Parissa Koo, the Unknown Artists production will perform at Three Clubs on N. Vine Street.
The Unknown Artists return to the Hollywood Fringe Festival this year with the cabaret STRAITJACKET SIRENS.
This 90s-jukebox cabaret is a darkly funny, razor-sharp exploration of a group of women confined to a mental hospital. Each one is dismissed by their misogynistic therapist as they attempt to reclaim their voices with the help of a passionate activist... and through music! Grunge, pop, R&B, and alt-rock anthems collide channeling iconic 90s hits into acts of rebellion, survival, and hard-won solidarity.
The show stars Meghan Allison, Jeff Scot Carey, Emily Clark, Dana DeRuyck, Pamela Eberhardt, Rodnesha Green, and Andy Prescott. Directed by Parissa Koo, conceived and written by Pamela Eberhardt, music direction by Emily Clark, choreography by Meghan Allison.
The Unknown Artists have been a staple of the Hollywood Fringe Festival since 2016, bringing to life memorable shows like Bigfoot! The Musical (2024 Fringe Award for Musicals and Operas), A Perfectly Still Curveball, Under the Influence, Most Likely To..., and Come on Down. T
his year the company is bringing two shows to the Hollywood Fringe, in addition to the psychological thriller ON THE LINE this June at the Broadwater Second Stage.
Performances of STRAITJACKET SIRENS are scheduled as follow: June 4 at 9:30pm, June 12 at 7:30pm, June 14 at 3:30pm, June 17th at 9:30pm, and June 27th at 9:30pm. Presented at Three Clubs, 1123 N. Vine Street, Los Angeles CA. Tickets can be purchased at the Hollywood Fringe's website.
