Roslyn Kind Opens Tonight at the Catalina Jazz Club; Plays Again Sunday March 20th

Singer star Roslyn Kind will play the Catalina Jazz Club for two performances only - Thursday March 17th at 8:30pm, and Sunday, March 20th at 7:30pm. According to the venue's web site, it is "an all-new show which she debuted at '54 Below' in New York. After a 4 year absence - Rozzie and her band will make a splashy return with her show which includes new material and vintage 'Rozzie' tunes featuring career highlights, pop songs, show tunes and personal favorites...She'll share some great stories, too"

The show is directed by Richard Jay-Alexander who has directed concerts for such stars as Kristin Chenoweth, Il Divo, Bette Midler and many others. He has also been co-director with Barbra Streisand (who is also Ms. Kind's big sister), for all her concerts since 2000. Originally created by Kind, Jay-Alexander and Alex Rybeck, Musical Direction for this engagement is by American Idol's Michael Orland.

An acclaimed singer, actress, and comedienne, Roslyn Kind has built a name for herself as a headliner at Lincoln Center, London's Cafe Royal and Carnegie Hall. She describes her brand new show as "a journey of emotions" featuring both new material and vintage "Rozzie." Roslyn was recently featured on her sister Barbra Streisand's World Tour, together with nephew Jason Gould, in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Israel. Signed to RCA Records during the 'heyday' of the New York nightclub scene, Ms. Kind regularly played The Persian Room, The Playboy Club, The Supper Club, The Grand Finale, and many others. After not appearing solo on the New York club scene for 20 years, Roslyn Kind makes an anticipated return with her new show featuring career highlights, pop songs, show tunes, personal favorites, as well as family stories. During her recent performances at 54 Below in New York, BroadwayWorld called her "pitch-perfect entertaining, funny, heartfelt and heartbreaking."
