Road Theatre Company Extends THAT GOOD NIGHT Through 8/4
THE ROAD THEATRE COMPANY and Taylor Gilbert, Founder/Artistic Director together with Sam Anderson, Artistic Director, today announced that their critically-acclaimed, smash-hit, world premiere production of THAT GOOD NIGHT, written by Andrew Dolan (The Many Mistresses of Martin Luther King) and directed by Scott Alan Smith (Lady) is EXTENDING through Saturday, August 4 at the Historic Lankershim Arts Center, 5108 Lankershim Blvd. in North Hollywood, CA.
With their father in a coma, the O’Dwyer family of middle–aged children return home to say their goodbyes. Among them is a their 37 year old brother who still lives at home and works as a part time clown dabbling in children’s birthday parties, magic, film criticism and heroin. Their shattered mother who is clinging to her Irish Catholic faith struggles to keep them all together while the older brothers struggle with their own identities, marriages and fatherhood. Their sister, Alice has written a story which threatens to expose family secrets thought long buried in the past. And the memories of their dying father looms over them all. A darkly comedic look at what it is to be cast adrift at any age and the means we have of holding on to each other and to fellow lost souls who appear in the night.
