'Radio8Ball' Opens August 21 at Hayworth

By:

The Radio8Ball Show, hosted by Andras Jones, will have an exclusive, two night engagement at The Hayworth Theater August 21 and August 22.  Joining host Jones will be Jon Auer (The Posies, Big Star) and Mirah (K Records) on the 21st & 22nd  shows, respectively.

"Part experimental theater. Part rock and roll cabaret. Part mystic mind-expansion," state press notes.  "The Radio8Ball Show is a unique and inspiring piece of entertainment which is both simple and profound. Audience members' questions are answered by spinning a wheel which picks one of the guest musical artists' songs. When the wheel stops the music act plays the song and the answer is interpreted like picking a musical tarot card. The readings can be humorous or moving, sometimes both at once."

Radio8Ball began in 1998 as a broadcast on KAOS 89.3 FM in Olympia, Washington and now broadcasts on 1150 AM in Seattle as well.  Andras Jones, who has developed the show from its infancy, calls Radio8Ball "calisthenics for the part of our mind that recognizes synchronicity."

Past guests have included Rickie Lee Jones, Michael Penn, Andy Dick, Dan Bern, Daniel Pinchbeck and many more.

The live stage production of Radio8Ball has had successful runs in Seattle and Boston, and there are plans for productions in Minneapolis and New York City.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.brownpapertickets.com.  The Hayworth Theatre is located at 2509 Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles.  For more information, visit www.radio8ball.com.
