Paul Adelstein's DORIS Plays the Coterie, 8/18

By:

The Coterie will present Television star Paul Adelstein's band DORIS live in their supper club home at the Loews Hollywood Hotel on Saturday, August 18. Coming off a successful month-long residency at the M Bar in Hollywood, Paul Adelstein, the musical architect behind Doris, and his band will be performing new music from their latest full-length album, All The Details.

About The Artist

DORIS is the musical outlet of songwriter, composer and actor Paul Adelstein. The bands' third album All the Details, co-produced by Adelstein and musical director Zoux (Macy Gray, Run DMC), is full of eclectic influences crossing musical boundaries from a Wurlitzer-infused pop jingle to acoustic guitar-laced rock passages with sweeping vocal harmonies. Ranging from heartfelt contemplation to folk storytelling to sympathetic satire, the piano-driven album features 10-tracks of anthemic Randy Newman-esque and Harry Nilsson-styled compositions. View the music video for the track "Commencement," now online. For more information, please visit Doris on the web at DorisMusic.net.

As a songwriter and composer Paul Adelstein has created original music for New Crime Productions, the Defiant Theatre, and Live Bait Theatre. He scored and wrote original songs for the HBO short-film Mullitt, which appeared at the Sundance Film Festival. As an actor, Adelstein currently stars in the ABC television series Private Practice, a spin-off of Grey's Anatomy, as series regular "Cooper Freedman" and starred in Prison Break as "Agent Paul Kellerman." He has appeared in numerous television shows including ER, Law & Order: SVU, and Without a Trace, while his film roles have included Intolerable Cruelty, Memoirs of a Geisha, Be Cool, Collateral and Bedazzled.
