Pamela Anderson to Host Frank Sinatra's Rat Pack Birthday Extravaganza, 12/11

Imagine it's the late '50s/early '60s and Frank Sinatra has raised his infamous Jack Daniels flag to alert his local revelers that his posh Twin Palms Estate is open for cocktail hour. Big band music is playing on the record player, the scent of gardenias (Sinatra's favorite flower) wafts through the air, and ladies in their best little black dresses are chatting poolside with gentleman donned in fedoras and smoking a Dunhill cigar. It's just another swinging good time at Sinatra's luxurious estate.

Imagine no more. A Swingin' Affair, named after the influential and legendary artist's 10th studio album, is bringing back the glitz and glamour of those glory days with a three-part gala experience to celebrate the late Frank Sinatra's birthday (born, Dec. 12, 1915) and to benefit the Alzheimer's Association's California Southland Chapter. The event, which is hosted byactress/model/activist Pamela Anderson, is held in three historic locations on Dec. 11, 2011 in Palm Springs, California.

"This is not your typical gala," says a co-chairman of the event."This is a lifestyle experience. They say, 'They don't party like they used to.' Well, we do. We are bringing back the decadence of Frank's lifestyle and putting it into three luxurious parties in one day and night, and if guests party like Frank did, the extravaganza could go into the next morning. This is all about honoring Frank's legacy, style, and swagger and helping a great organization in the process."

The festivities kick off with an exclusive VIP cocktail hour (for which only 150 privileged VIP ticket holders will be able to attend) at Sinatra's former Twin Palms estate, which was designed by famed architect E. StewArt Williams and lived in by Sinatra and first wife Nancy and then Ava Gardner. Canadian jazz artistMatt Dusk, who has three No. 1 international hits under his belt, will perform and cocktails and canapes will be served poolside from 2-5 p.m.

Stop two of the night will be the main gala (for which there are 1,000 tickets available) at the posh Riviera Palm Springs Resort & Spa where Sinatra held most of his lavish parties. Architect and visionary Irwin Schuman designed the historic location and the event will be fashioned in the grand Hollywood Regency style. Pamela Anderson will be on hand as the host of the night, with performances by Frank Sinatra Jr. and his Big Band Orchestra, singer/pianist Daniel Joseph Baker from season 6 of America's Got Talent,Matt Dusk, and actress/Broadway star Lainie Kazan. A sumptuous three-course dinner will be served and cocktails will be flowing.

The night closes with an after-party, starting at 11:30 p.m., at the swanky Starlite Loungein the Riviera. Daniel Joseph Baker will once again perform, as well as other entertainers to be announced, and cocktails will be flowing into the wee small hours of the morning. A special toast and a cake will be cut in honor of Sinatra's birthday. (He would've been 96 this year.)

So, guys dust off your wingtips and fedoras. Ladies, find your best vintage Dior gown, it's time to party like the Rat Pack.
