Dot Saint-Fleur stars in the MC Lyte-produced one-woman show set in Los Angeles.
One Way, a ohe one woman show starring, Dot Saint-Fleur, is set to premiere at The Barbara Morrison Performing Arts Center on Saturday, June 13th, 2026 in Los Angeles, CA.
Written by, produced by, and starring Dot Saint-Fleur, One Way tells the story of Ashley Rae, an actress battling reality and fantasy, as she anxiously awaits a career breakthrough.
A life changing callback brings her to the eccentric streets of Los Angeles on a chaotic, character-filled quest. Her frantic surreal journey through the trenches of the city, brings her to encounters that radically change her views on what she's actually searching for.
One Way is a seriocomic psychological play in the vein of The Wiz and Alice in Wonderland, exploring the thin line between chasing a dream and seeking validation, and the sobering truth that can be revealed in the process. In a world where we are increasingly reliant on applause and direction from others, One Way asks the terrifying question: "What are we actually searching for?" And "Are we right where we need to be?" says MC Lyte, Executive Producer of the show. "This is not just a story about a callback; it's about a psychological exploration of the need for approval."
This one woman show is derived from a prize redemption, granted from the new monologue competition, Take Note. Take Note is a brand-new live experience where creativity and competition collide. Actors perform monologues and are given notes from industry professionals. Actors must take the notes they were given and perform with a new delivery. The contestant who takes the note the best is deemed the winner.
Dot Saint-Fleur is an award-winning actor and producer based in Los Angeles. Known for bringing unique and thought provoking stories of Black women to the forefront.
