Long Beach Playhouse Enters Final Two Weekends for CLOUD TECTONICS

By:

On a rainy night in Los Angles, Anibal picks up a pregnant hitchhiker named Celestina and brings her to his home to rest. He quickly learns that she is no ordinary young woman, but a rare and heavenly creature who lives outside the field of time and may never die.

Anibal's brother, Nelson makes a surprise visit, becomes enamored with Celestina and promises to return from the war in two years to marry her. That night, Anibal and Celstina fall in love, and two years pass in the space of one magical night. This is revealed when Nelson returns what seems to be hours later to find the couple unchanged, while he has suffered the psychological damages of war. Cloud Tectonics is a love story, and a philosophical exploration of the illusive natures of love and time.
