Julie Newmar to Cut Ribbon at Pacific Rose Society's Annual Rose Show

By:

Tony and Golden Globe winner, Julie Newmar, will be present to officially open the Pacific Rose Society's annual rose show with the traditional ribbon cutting.

Prior to the ribbon cutting ceremony, Julie along with Suzanne Horn, PRS President, will present to Richard Shulhof, CEO of the Arboretum, a contribution to the Arboretum Tree Fund. This fund was recently established to help with the replanting of hundreds of rare trees that were lost in the horrific wind storm that ravaged the San Gabriel Valley in December of 2011.  The Pacific Rose Society is the oldest rose society in the Greater Los Angeles/ Orange County Area and its members maintain the rose garden at the Wrigley House -- the official home of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses.

Julie Newmar has a love of gardening, a life member of the Pacific Rose Society, has over 100 roses in her lovely garden in Brentwood, California. Among her favorites is, of course, the 'Julie Newmar' rose along with 'Julia Child', 'Bonica', 'Princess de Monaco' and a fabulous specimen of 'Jeanne lajoie'. She was also the guest speaker at that awards banquet when the Pacific Rose Society hosted the district convention themed 'Cavalcade of Stars'.
