Jones and Merkle to Host THE BROADWAY CAGE MATCH, Starring Platt, Foster, Pardo, and More 8/26
The famous Rockwell Table and Stage Los Angeles presents its inaugural competition cabaret; THE BROADWAY CAGE MATCH on August 26th at 8 pm.
The evening, coached by its creators Justin Jones (Tosh.O, Reprise Theatre Co.) and Bruce Merkle (The Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno, La Mirada's Spring Awakening) is slated to be a monthly engagement featuring talent from Broadway, television, and film. There will be blood and jazz hands as this month's cage match features cast members from the Hollywood Bowl's production of Hair and La Mirada Theatre's production of LES MISERABLES. See some of the most talented triple-threats in Los Angeles hone all their skills to duke it out in interactive fast-paced performance challenges. Quick-changes, 16-bars, kick-ball-changes, and heavy belting will syphon the weak from the triumphant. The audience will chose the victor in the cage match leaving the losing contestants bloodied and battered in shame and degradation. This musical free-for-all, music directed by Brian P. Kennedy, is not an evening to be missed.
