INSIDE THE MIND OF ME Set for Hollywood Fringe Next Month

By:

Wade Wilson has been on quite the roller coaster lately. He just finished a significant part on a yet undisclosed Spike Lee project that had him working all over the country and meeting top celebrities. He is prepping to publish a collection of poetry that he has spent years writing. He has just signed on for another major acting project, what he calls a dream role. And his passion project, supported by GLAAD, is getting ready to open at the Hollywood Fringe Festival.

"It has been a busy but wonderful time and I feel very blessed," Wilson said. "I can't wait to bring this show to Fringe as it's such a wonderful platform for independent artists to share their work. It's time to show this work not only at a place it will be seen, but appreciated for all that it is."

Inside the Mind of Me is a about a young man named "Me" who attempts to commit suicide and tragically falls into a coma. The entire show takes place inside his head while he's unconscious. Me's guardian angel tries to help him wake up while his demons will stop at nothing to keep him in the dark. Bedside conversations from his friends and loved ones seep into his mind and alter his reality there, affecting his struggle. With Death in constant pursuit and horrible memories he can't shake, the only chance Me seems to have at life...is hope.

"It's a very dark and edgy show, a deeply honest and real look told as a larger than life story," Wilson said. "With the way it's staged, there is always so much happening at once that it will keep the audience wondering what will happen next. In a way, this show leaves nothing to the imagination, yet...leaves everything to the imagination. Ha! Let that one sink in for a little bit."

Wilson's character of Me also deals with an identity crisis in the show. He is a lover and a creative, gentle soul that has earned him quite a bit of bullying throughout his life, an experience all too familiar for many members of LGBT community. As such, Inside the Mind of Me has received a support and an endorsement from GLAAD. Wilson hopes that the message of his show reaches anyone who might be suffering.

"Inside the Mind of Me...wants the world to understand, despite who you are, we are human, we are love, we are one."
